Belfast Boxer Jamie Conlon Takes Up New Role With MTK Global

Belfast boxer Jamie Conlon has been appointed Professional Development coordinator at MTK Global.

With over 130 fighters signed to the company, Jamie will play an integral part in establishing programs and projects to support the professional growth and development of his fellow boxers.

Speaking about his new role he said: "I am thrilled to be part of the ever growing MTK Global team and to contribute something of which I am very passionate about.

"Boxers need all the professional help and support they can get to sustain and improve their craft. As a fighter myself, I know what are the specific needs of a boxer in order to grow and I am very willing to share my insights and experiences."

MTK Global co-founder Matthew Macklin said: "I have known Jamie for a long time now and I believe he is the ideal man for this role,” commented Macklin. “His experience, professionalism and dedication to the sport are relentless and unwavering. He has the heart, mind and soul of a professional boxer. He is especially well placed to fully support our growing stable of fighters."

Flag Protestor Jamie Bryson Granted Bail
Union flag protestor Jamie Bryson has been granted bail. The 23-year-old, who has spent almost a month behind bars, faces six charges on the ongoing flags dispute. He has been refused bail in the High Court twice, however in Belfast Magistrate's Court on Wednesday his lawyer said Bryson had agreed to strict conditions.

Loyalists Arrested Over Flag Protests
Leading members of the loyalist union flag protests in Belfast have been taken into custody. Spokesmen for the Ulster People's Forum Jamie Bryson, 23, and Willie Frazer, 52, were arrested earlier. They are being questioned over organising and participating in unlawful parades.

Body Found In Search For Missing Belfast Woman Jamie-Lee Wilson
The PSNI has said that they are no longer searching for a missing woman following the discovery of a body in Dundrod, County Antrim. Police have been searching for Jamie-Lee Wilson (24) since she was reported missing on Tuesday 10 August. Ms Wilson was reportedly last seen in the Turf Lodge area of Belfast.

The Alliance Party has refused to appear before the Westminster Northern Ireland Affairs Committee because loyalist blogger Jamie Bryson is to give evidence. Alliance leader Naomi Long and Mr Bryson were on a list of witnesses invited to give oral evidence to the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee.

Union flag protestor Jamie Bryson has been convicted of taking part in unlawful public processions. He was also found guilty of obstructing traffic during a protest in Belfast.
