Global Entrepreneurship Week Events Announced
A series of events have been announced by Belfast City Council as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), which launches on Monday, 13 November.
Working with key organisations across the city the council is delivering a series of event to inspire new and existing entrepreneurs to take their business to the next level. GEW runs from Monday 13, November – Sunday 19 November.
Chair of the Council's City Growth and Regeneration Committee, Councillor Maíread O Donnell, said: "The week is about encouraging the next generation of entrepreneurs to come along, get involved and use this opportunity so Belfast becomes the place to make their first million.
"No matter what stage you are at there will be an event to help. If you are just thinking of dipping your toe in the water you could try 'Who wants to be an entrepreneur?' If you are more advanced than that you can learn how to pitch ideas, use social media, look at product design and prototyping.
"There is no barrier to entrepreneurship, the events are open to everyone and I would urge anyone who has their own company or thinks they have an idea that will work to come along for help and support. Make your dream a reality," she added.
Information on GEW events is available at belfastcity.gov.uk/GEW.
Among the organisations supporting GEW are Belfast City Council, Invest NI; Ulster Bank Boost; The Urban Villages Initiative; Ulster University Business School and Queen's University.
