Man Charged With Drug And Immigration Offences

A man is to appear in court charged with drug and immigration offences.

The suspect was arrested following a joint operation between the PSNI and the Home Office.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday, 03 November.

The charges include possession of a Class B drug, intent to supply, possession of criminal property and failing to leave the UK.

The charges will be review by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Detective Inspector David Henderson of the Organised Crime Branch said: "This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to tackling the scourge of drugs in our society.

"We would encourage anyone with information which may assist police in combating the sale and distribution of illegal drugs to contact police on 101."

Man Charged After Cannabis Factory Uncovered In Cookstown
A 37-year-old is due in court after police uncovered a cannabis factory in the Kinturk Road area of Cookstown on Friday, 5 December. The man has been charged with cultivating cannabis, possession of a Class B controlled drug, possession of a Class B controlled drug with intent to supply, and criminal damage.

Man In Court After £25k Drug Seizure
Police have charged a 41-year-old man with possession of a class A drug and possession of a class A drug with intent to supply. The charges follow the stop and search of a car in the Oldpark Road area of Lisburn, County Antrim, on the afternoon of Saturday 20 September.
