Man Charged With Drug And Immigration Offences

A man is to appear in court charged with drug and immigration offences.

The suspect was arrested following a joint operation between the PSNI and the Home Office.

He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday, 03 November.

The charges include possession of a Class B drug, intent to supply, possession of criminal property and failing to leave the UK.

The charges will be review by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Detective Inspector David Henderson of the Organised Crime Branch said: "This demonstrates our ongoing commitment to tackling the scourge of drugs in our society.

"We would encourage anyone with information which may assist police in combating the sale and distribution of illegal drugs to contact police on 101."

Many Arrests In Gardaí Drugs Raids
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and 'crack' cocaine in the Dublin region. The operation, which involved Garda drug units from Kevin Street, Pearse Street and Store Street stations, resulted in 150 charges being brought, according to Gardaí this morning.

Pair Charged As Drug Factory Discovered In East Belfast
Two men are due to appear in court this morning, Friday 20 December, following the discovery of a drug factory in east Belfast. The pair, aged 42 and 44, have been charged with being concerned in the production of class A controlled drugs. It comes after a suspected drug manufacturing facility was uncovered on Wednesday 18 December.
