Recruitment Drive Launched For Police Constables
A new recruitment drive has been launched for Police Constables.
The initial selection test for applicants can now be completed online on the PSNI's website.
Deputy Chief Constable Drew Harris said: "There have also been a number of changes in the Student Officer Training Programme delivered at the Police College, Garnerville. The programme is now 23 weeks. Student officers will be assigned their policing district during their induction and spend a full day in their future operational station during the first week of their training.
"An extensive advertising campaign has already commenced which includes online, radio and advertisements in a range of publications. We have also developed a number of interactive multimedia activities which can be viewed at www.joinpsni.co.uk. These will also be posted on social media and will be of interest to those who are considering a career as a police officer."
The closing date for applications is Friday 10 November at 12 noon.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Top training award for Derry Airport Fire Fighter
A senior City of Derry Airport fire fighter has been awarded a top training award at the International Fire Training School in Teesside, Co. Durham. Fire Officer Gerard McCloskey, from Dungiven, who has been working as a fire fighter at the Airport for the past 15 years, was awarded Top Student of the Year at an awards ceremony earlier this month.
