NI Manager Admits Drink-Driving Charge

Northern Ireland Manager Michael O'Neill has pleaded guilty to drink driving.

Mr O'Neill was caught by police in Edinburgh on 10 September. He was found to be around three times the legal drink-drive limit.

At Edinburgh Sheriff Court he was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £1,300.

Northern Ireland will play against Switzerland in next month's World Cup play-offs.

NI Football Manager Arrested On Suspicion Of Drink Driving
Northern Ireland football manager Michael O'Neill has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. The Scottish Sun reports that he was stopped by police just outside Edinburgh on Sunday, 10 September. Police Scotland said they arrested and charged a 48-year-old man in connection with drink-driving eastbound on the A720.

Duke Of Edinburgh Celebrates Hilton Birthday
The Duke of Edinburgh, on the second engagement of a one-day visit to Northern Ireland, was this afternoon the guest of honour at a lunch at the Hilton Hotel in Belfast. The event was for Friends of The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, as well as to mark the 10th anniversary of the Belfast Hilton.

EasyJet set to introduce free Belfast-Scotland flights
Low-cost airline EasyJet is set to introduce the world's first no-fare flights between Northern Ireland and Scotland. Tens of thousands of passengers flying between Northern Ireland and Edinburgh and Glasgow will travel for free for the remainder of 2002.
