Investigation Launched After Power Plant Explosion
An investigation has launched after an explosion at a biomass power plant in Co L'Derry.
The incident happened at the Lishally biomass power plant on Sunday, 01 October.
A steam pipe is believed to have ruptured and caused significant damage to a boiler room.
Emergency services attended the scene.
The firm said it is working to bring the plant back online "as soon as possible".

Nuclear power plant proposal for Derry
Councillors in Londonderry are due to attend a meeting later today to hear a local businessman's proposals to build a nuclear power plant in the city. Robert Andrews has said that the plant will will provide energy to the province as well as creating jobs for around 500 people.

Opposition to new Scottish nuclear power plant proposal
SDLP Assembly Member Danny O’Connor has described proposals by British Energy for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Ayrshire as “deeply disturbing”. Mr O’Connor said: “The people of Northern Ireland have expressed their opposition, through their elected representatives, to this type of energy production.

86,000 Young Trees Culled In Ash Dieback Control
Some 86,000 young trees have been destroyed to prevent the spread of 'Ash Dieback' into the wider environment, according to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. "Over 3,000 site inspections have been carried out since the disease was first found here in November 2012," said Agriculture Minister Michelle O'Neill.
