Man arrested following pipe bomb find
A man has been arrested after pipe bombs were found at a house in Co Down on Tuesday.
Eight partly-made bombs were discovered during a search of the house at Raceview Terrace in Newtownards. Army bomb disposal experts have taken the devices away for further examination.
A quantity of cannabis resin was also discovered during the search.

Viable Pipe Bomb Found In North Belfast
A viable pipe bomb has been found in north Belfast, police have confirmed. Police and army bomb experts discovered the device in the garden of a house in Shore Crescent on Monday. The pipe bomb has been removed for further examination. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Three Arrests Over 'Suspected' Firearms Seizure
Police have recovered a number of suspected firearms in a house search on Belfast's Lisburn Road. It is understood that police and army bomb disposal officers searched a property on Rathcool Street, on Tuesday night. Two men, aged 34 and 27, and a woman aged 19, were arrested in connection with the finds.

Belfast Man Held After Police Swoop On Dublin 'Pipebomb' Factory
Gardai in Dublin, investigating dissident republican activity, have arrested a Belfast man. A police swoop in the West Park area of the city has resulted in five men being held by officers. It is believed all the men are in their twenties. Detectives at the scene discovered equipment used for making pipebombs.

Petrol Bomb Thrown At Community Centre In L'Derry
A petrol bomb has been thrown at a community centre in Co L'Derry. The device was thrown at the Dove House building at around 11.30pm on Thursday, 18 August. Scorch damage was caused to the front of the building. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

'Bomb Parts' Discovered During Search
A number of components for an explosive device have been found during a search in Strabane, Co Tyrone, police have confirmed. The items were found during a search of a property in the Carrigullin Road area of the town. The items have been removed from the derelict outhouse for forensic examination.
