Apprenticeship Programmes Review Aims To Better Support Local Economy

A review of vocational training programmes in Northern Ireland, with a focus on apprenticeships, has been launched by the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in partnership with the Department for the Economy of Northern Ireland and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The aim of the review is to offer guidance on how apprenticeships in Northern Ireland could better support the local economy by meeting the labour and skills needs of employers. As part of this project, the OECD has designed a short survey that will help to inform its recommendations to the Northern Ireland Executive.

The questionnaire should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. All responses are confidential and will be analysed by the OECD. The closing date for completing the survey is Friday 22 September.
