Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after shots were fired at a property in Larne, Co Antrim.

Police believe the attack is part of an ongoing feud.

The 30-year-old was detained by the PSNI on Monday, 11 September. He is also suspected of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, hijacking, and aggravated vehicle-taking.

The arrest was made after armed masked men hijacked a car in the Crigy Hill area.

They drove the Volkswagen Bora to the Brustin Brae road area and ploughed out through the gates of a house and set it on fire.

Shots were fired at the house while a woman and three children were inside.

They are not believed to have been injured.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Men Arrested In Connection With Right-Wing Extremism Released
Four men arrested in connection with right-wing extremism have been released. The men, aged 29, 30, 36 and 46, were arrested following house searches in Ballymena and Coleraine on Wednesday, 26 October. The men have been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man stabbed in car hijacking
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during a car hijacking in Co Antrim on Tuesday. The incident occurred at the Kingsway Complex in Dunmurry at around 10pm. The man was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by another man who demanded his keys.

Man Arrested Following Lisburn Assault Released
A man arrested following an assault in Lisburn has been released on bail pending further enquiries, according to the PSNI. The 21-year-old was arrested following an incident in the Rathvarna Drive and Beechwood Grove area at around 1.30am on Tuesday, 12 July.
