More Than 370 Jobs To Be Created In Ireland
Homecare provider Bluebird Care is to create over 370 jobs in its 26 offices across the country in the coming month.
Bluebird Care was set up in Ireland in 2007 to provide accessible, quality, safe care for individuals of all ages and varying degrees of ability. It has 26 offices throughout Ireland providing health and social care services within the home setting and local community.
Tánaiste and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald TD said: "I am delighted that Bluebird Care is expanding its workforce by creating 370 new roles. Indeed, I am especially pleased to see the creation of jobs across the country. Bluebird Care's commitment to training local people to care for vulnerable people in their homes provides an important service to communities. I wish Bluebird Care the very best with their expansion across the country."

Jobs' Boost For Dublin and Galway
One hundred new jobs are to be created by companies in Co Galway and Dublin. A medical devices company, Care Fusion, in Gort, Co Galway, is creating 35 new jobs. The IDA-supported investment will bring the workforce medical company to 130. Meanwhile 30 extra positions are to be created at the Valeo plant in Tuam, Co Galway.

Shannon Worker's 'Angry' At Offer
Element Six workers in Shannon have reacted with "anger" at the management's latest offer, after slew of redundancies were announced. The TEEU and SIPTU unions met with staff today to consider their response to an offer by the company to save 160 manufacturing jobs at the plant.

Waterford Workers Hit By Job Cuts
Almost 370 UK workers have been made redundant at Waterford Wedgwood in Staffordshire. The Tanaiste is now holding emergency talks with the company's union reps this afternoon to discuss employee pension scheme, after it was announced that Waterford's operations had gone into receivership.

Eye care company creates 30 jobs in Waterford
Bausch & Lomb, a global eye care company, is to create 30 new jobs at its Waterford operation following the announcement of a £10.5 million investment in the site. The company will develop the site in order to facilitate the pre-market development and production of its Envision TD drug-delivery system.
