Bag Of 'White Powder' Found Near Children's Play Area

A bag of suspected drugs has been found near a children's play area in Donacloney, Co Down.

The PSNI said a bag of white powder was discovered in the Riverdale Crescent area.

A police spokesperson said: "Have you lost a small bag of white powder in the Riverdale Crescent area of Donacloney? If you have, good news, we have it!! Come and see us!

"On a more serious note, this stuff was found near to where kids play, and this is absolutely NOT acceptable. If you have any information with regards to drugs, or drug taking in any area, including Donacloney, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us on 101, via Crime stoppers."

Lottery boost to transform east Belfast childcare facilities
A parish hall in east Belfast will be transformed into a state-of-the-art childcare centre thanks to a lottery windfall announced today by the New Opportunities Fund. East Belfast based charity Oasis Caring in Action Limited has been awarded a grant of £227,991 to renovate the hall off the Castlereagh Road into an early years childcare centre.
