Appeal Issued Over Gang Attack In Village Area Of Belfast

Police have issued an appeal for information after a man was left seriously injured when he was attacked by a gang armed with a machete last month.

A 32-year-old man was left with a serious hand injury when he was attacked in the early hours of Sunday, 30 July, in the Village area of Belfast.

At the time of the attack the victim was wearing a white t-shirt, dark jeans and white trainers.

Police have appealed to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident, 3.45am, or to anyone with information on the incident, to contact them.

Information can also be passed to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously by telephoning 0800 555 111.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Appeal For Information On L'Derry Pipe Bomb Attack
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a pipe bomb attack at a house in L'Derry last night, Wednesday, 18 October. At around 11.30pm last night, a device partially exploded at the bck door of a house in Heron Way. A woman, aged in her 20s, was in the house at the time of the explosion but was uninjured.

Appeal For Information On Ballycastle Petrol Bomb Attack
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Ballycastle on Saturday 12th August. At approximately 8am police received a report that a petrol bomb had been thrown at a property in the Fogarty Crescent area. Damage was caused to a window, but there are no reports of any injuries.

Woman Seriously Injured After Suspected Serious Attack In Newry
A woman has sustained serious head injuries following a suspected attack in Newry. Police have launched an investigation after an incident at a house in the Hollyridge Lane area. The woman's condition is believed to be life threatening. The Tandragee Road has been reopened. Newry and Armagh MP Mickey Brady described the attack as "horrific".

Appeal For Information On Suspected Arson Attack
The PSNI in Newtownards have issued an appeal for information following a suspected arson attack at a workshop in the town. Eleven vehicles were extensively damaged in a fire at the workshop on the Glenburn Road area, which was reported to emergency service at around 21:45 on Wednesday 01 March.
