Young Children Rescued After Being Swept Out To Sea In Ballycastle
Three young children have been rescued after being swept out to sea on the North Antrim coast.
Emergency services were called at 8.36pm on Wednesday after the children, who had been paddling in a river at Ballycastle, lost their footing and were swept out to sea.
It is understood members of the public entered the water to rescue the children.
The Coastguard said: "We tasked Ballycastle Coastguard Rescue Team, Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 199 and requested Portrush and Red Bay RNLI lifeboats to proceed."
The children were all taken to the Causeway Hospital and are in a stable condition.

Scottish Surfer Rescued After Over 30hrs At Sea
A Scottish surfer is in a stable condition in the Ulster Hospital in Dundonald after spending over 30 hours in the sea. Matthew Bryce from Glasgow went surfing on the Machrihanish beach on Sunday, 30 April, however he failed to return. Belfast Coastguard and the RNLI were alerted and conducted searches.

Woman And Children Rescued From Suspected Arson In North Belfast
An investigation has been launched following a suspected arson attack in North Belfast. A woman and two children were rescued from a house on Jellicoe Avenue in Fortwilliam in the early hours of Monday morning. NI Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene just after 1am and spent several hours tackling the blaze.

Larne lifeboat rescued an unconscious man from the sea near Larne promenade on Thursday night. The lifeboat was called at around 22:40 following reports of a man lying face down in the water. He was found about 150 metres from the promenade.

Fishermen rescued from Irish sea
Four County Down fishermen have been rescued off the Irish coast after their boat caught fire last night. The men, all from Kilkeel, abandoned the burning Noronya vessel about 20 miles off the coast of Dublin at around 12.45am. Belfast Coastguard were alerted and an operation to rescue the men was launched.
