Appeal For Information Issued On Bonfire Night Assault

The PSNI in County Down have issued an appeal for information on the alleged assault of a woman in Killyleagh earlier this month.

Posting on their Facebook page, PSNI Down said that at approximately 2am on Wednesday, 12 July, a woman was attacked by three other women, sustaining injuries to her face and body.

A spokesperson from the PSNI said: "There was loads of people around the area of (the) incidents so we would really like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have seen anything.

"If you don't want to speak to us then please ring the Crimestoppers UKcharity on 0800555111."

Police are also appealing for information on an unrelated act of vandalism earlier on the same night in Ballynahinch.

It is understood that shortly after midnight on Wednesday, 12 July, a red Vauxhall Astra car was damaged in an incident of criminal damage as it was parked in a Supervalu carpark on Lisburn Street.

Police said that the area would have been busy at the time of the incident and appealed to anyone who may have seen anything to contact them.

Police Appeal After House And Vehicle Damaged In North Belfast
Police are appealing for information after damage was caused to a house and vehicle in the Ballysillian area of north Belfast. Police received a report shortly after 11pm on Tuesday that a window had been smashed at a property and a van parked on Ballysillan Avenue was on fire.

Appeal After Vehicles Damaged In Holywood
Police are appealing for information after several vehicles were damaged in Holywood over the weekend. The cars were targeted in the Strand Avenue area of the town overnight on Saturday 16 February. Each vehicle had its tyres slashed in what police said was "a wanton act of vandalism".

PSNI Appeal Following Hate Crime Incidents In Ballymena
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following incidents of criminal damage in Ballymena on Sunday, 26 November, which are being treated as a hate crime. It was reported that two men were witnessed kicking the front doors of several properties in the Larne Street area, whilst smashing glass bottles and shouting racist remarks.
