Number Of Homes Boarded Up In East Belfast Ahead Of 11th Night Bonfires
A number of homes near a controversial bonfire in east Belfast have been boarded up over fears of them being damaged when the fire is lit later tonight.
The bonfire, in a public car park at Ravenscroft Avenue off the Newtownards Road, is the subject of a court injunction, which was put in place in an effort to prevent it getting bigger. It is one of four bonfires in the city currently subject to the injunction.
According to reports the Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) placed boards over the windows over five homes next to the site of the bonfire.
