'Serious Implications' If NI Fails To Reach Powersharing Deal - Brokenshire

Secretary of State James Brokenshire has warned there will be "profound and serious implications" if no agreement is reached to form power sharing in Northern Ireland.

Political parties have until 4pm on Thursday, 29 June, or face the prospect of direct rule.

Mr Brokenshire told MPs: "Our focus is on seeing that an Executive is restored and I have been clear on not wanting to pre-empt what may happen should that not be the case.

"Obviously there would be profound and serious implications in that context."
