Man Beaten With Metal Bar In L'Derry

A man has been beaten with a metal bar in Co L'Derry.

A gang of men, one believed to have a gun, attacked the 19-year-old victim in the Glenowen Park area on Sunday, 25 June.

He was hit several times with the bar and sustained cuts and bruises to his face and body.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Co Down Bar Owner Fined For Selling Counterfeit Vodka
A Co Down bar owner has been fined for selling counterfeit vodka at Downpatrick Magistrates' Court. Mr Patrick Robert Maginn, 55, from Newcastle, pleaded guilty to three charges and was fined £6,000. In a case brought by the Trading Standards Service (TSS) of the Department for the Economy, he was charged under Section 92 of Trade Marks Act 1994.
