Yellow Weather Warning For Heavy Rain Issued In NI
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain in Northern Ireland on Thursday, 08 June.
Heavy showers are expected and thunder in places.
The warning has been put in place from noon until 7pm.
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Heavy showers on Thursday afternoon and evening will produce torrential downpours in places. Some areas will see 10 to 15 mm of rain falling within an hour, with as much as 20 to 30 mm possible over three hours. As is often the case with showers some areas will miss the heaviest seeing only small amounts of rainfall."
Motorists are being urged to take extra care on the roads.

A 'yellow' weather warning for Northern Ireland has been issued by the UK Met Office, ahead of heavy rain and a risk of flooding today and into tomorrow. Bands of rain are expected to affect areas across Northern Ireland through the rest of Tuesday and overnight into Wednesday morning.
