Man Arrested Over James Gibson Murder

A man has been arrested in connection with the IRA murder of James Gibson.

Mr Gibson, aged 50, was shot by masked men when he stopped the bus he was driving to let children off in Coalisland, Co Tyrone, on 02 December 1982.

A 54-year-old suspect has been detained in police custody.

Man Jailed For 15 Years For 2020 Murder Of Nathan Gibson
A 44-year-old man has been jailed for a minimum of 15 years for the January 2020 murder of Nathan Gibson. John Paul Whitla had previously pleaded guilty to murder, false imprisonment, common assault and entering as a trespasser with intent to commit a sexual offence.
