Three Return To Belfast Giants Line-Up For New Season
The Belfast Giants have confirmed three players are returning for the new season ahead.
Under the leadership of Head Coach Adam Keefe, Colin Shields, Blair Riley and Matt Towe have signed up for the 2017/18 season.
Shields from Glasgow, who re-joins the Giants for a tenth season, is the Giants all-time leading points scorer and goal scorer and has played in 517 games, posting 208 goals and 351 assists.
Last season Shields was named by the Elite League as the ‘Best British Player'.
Riley from Canada makes it two seasons in-a-row with the Giants after the 6'0" Power Forward arrived in Northern Ireland in 2016 from the AHL where he spent the 2015/16 season with the Stockton Heat.
Towe returns for a second consecutive season and a third season overall with the Giants.

Jim Vandermeer To Return To Belfast Giants For Third Season
The Belfast Giants have confirmed that defenceman Jim Vandermeer is to return for a third season. Head Coach Adam Keefe has also appointed Vandermeer as a Player/Assistant Coach for the 2017/18 season, joining Brandon Benedict on the coaching team.

The Belfast Giants have confirmed that Brandon Benedict is to return for the 2017/18 season. The forward will make it a fifth season in Belfast when he pulls on the teal jersey once again during the exhibition games against the Manitoba Bisons. Head Coach Adam Keefe has appointed Benedict as a Player/Assistant Coach.

He spent the 2015/16 season with the Coventry Blaze, where Quesnele posted nine goals and 16 assists, good for 25 points in 60 games played.
