Police Search Uncovers Suspected Pipe Bombs
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of four suspected pipe bombs and gun parts in Portadown.
It is understood the devices were found by police during a search operation in the People's Park area of the town.
Police have said the devices were "not viable" and are trying to establish how old the items are and if they have any connection to "historical terrorist activity".

Helicopter 'Top Cover' As Bomb Defused
Suburban Glengormley returned to normal yesterday evening after the Army dealt with a pipe bomb in Harmin Park. The PSNI helicopter was overhead of the Newtownabbey district - close to north Belfast - for most of Monday afternoon and some residents were asked to leave their homes, while the examination was carried out.

Pipe bomb attacks continue in Country Antrim
County Antrim has been the focus of several overnight incidents involving pipe bombs, which saw one Portrush man narrowly escape injury when his house was singled out for attack. The device was thrown through the window of the house in Glenmanus Park at around midnight on Monday 23 July, but failed to go off.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Devices recovered in north Belfast
Police have recovered pipe bombs and detonators during a search in north Belfast. Four pipe bombs, a number of detonators and a quantity of ammunition were found during the searches which were carried out in the vicinity of an electricity sub-station on the Deerpark Road in the north of the city, yesterday afternoon.
