Call For Action After Fish Found Dead In Co Antrim
The Alliance Party is calling for action to be taken after over 40 fish were found dead in the Woodburn reservoir catchment area, near Carrickfergus in County Antrim.
East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, has written to NI Water and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) to flag the issues and ascertain why it happened.
He said: "Having worked hard to oppose the Drill Site at Woodburn Forest on environmental grounds I am concerned by these reports."
Mr Dickson said Alliance had long supported all lawful efforts to stop the drilling.

Police have issued an appeal for information following an aggravated burglary in Carrickfergus, County Antrim. A 19-year-old man was attacked with baseball bats and a hammer when a number of masked men forced their way into a house on Whinfield Walk at about 10pm on Sunday, 29 July.

Construction equipment manufacturer Caterpillar is to axe 140 jobs from its factories in Larne, Monkstown and west Belfast. Alliance East Antrim MLA, Stewart Dickson, said he is disappointed at the job losses and his thoughts are with the workers and their families.
