Woman Injured In Petrol Bomb Attack

A woman has been injured after a petrol bomb was thrown at her house in east Belfast.

The attack happened in Clara Street at around 11.35pm on Sunday, 14 May.

The woman was taken to hospital with injuries o her legs, however they are not believed to be life threatening.

The house was smoke damaged.

Alliance Party Leader and candidate for East Belfast Naomi Long said: "Whoever was behind this arson attack in Clara Street must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. There can be no excuse for this senseless violence. Lives could have been lost if the fire had spread to adjoining houses. I send my best wishes for a speedy recovery to the woman injured.

"Anyone with information about this attack should pass it to the police on the 101 number, or anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."

Woman injured as gang attack Newtownards house
Detectives in Newtownards have appealed for information after a house was attacked late last night, July 15. At around 11.45pm, several men wielding baseball bats, stones and a hammer smashed the windows at the front of a house on Trasnagh Drive. Three women were in the living room of the house at the time and one received minor cuts.

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Woman Injured In Petrol Bomb Attack
A woman has been injured following a petrol bomb attack on her home in Coleraine. The 41-year-old woman has received burns to her legs - while her young child escaped injury. The woman and her five-year-old daughter were at home in Wheatfield Gardens at 22:30 when the device was thrown through the front window.
