Balmoral Show Opens In Lisburn
The Balmoral Show, Northern Ireland's largest agricultural event, has officially opened in Lisburn.
The show, which is taking place on the former Maze prison site, will run until Saturday, 13 May.
Ulster Bank is the principal sponsor of the show which will feature more than 700 trade stands, the NI Food Pavilion, hundreds of competitions and classes, and a wide range of family entertainment.
Richard Donnan, Ulster Bank's Head of Northern Ireland, said: "Balmoral Show epitomises everything that is great about our local food and agriculture industries and sponsoring the Show symbolises our continuing strong support for this hugely important sector. We will be at the Show to demonstrate the real and meaningful help that we can provide to our customers in these sectors and beyond."

Ulster Bank Confirmed As Balmoral Show Sponsor
Ulster Bank will be at the forefront of Northern Ireland's agricultural event as the principal sponsor of The Balmoral Show for a fourth year, it was announced today. The Show, which takes place from 16th to 18th May 2012, will again be run in association with the bank, following its sponsorships in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

The Alliance Party European candidate Anna Lo has accused the Executive of failing to "agree a way forward to support the agri-food sector." Ms Lo made the comments at the Balmoral Show, currently underway at the Maze former prison site, where the Executive's 'Going For Growth' agri-food strategy was launched last year.
