Man In Court Charged With Attempted Murder Of Baby In Co Fermanagh

A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a baby in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh.

The child was seriously injured at a house on the Castlecoole Road on Saturday, 06 May.

The child is in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

The man has been remanded in custody and is to appear in court via video link on 22 May in Enniskillen.

Convicted Sex Offender Hands Himself In To Police
A convicted sex offender who was unlawfully at large in England has handed himself in to Northern Ireland police. PSNI appealed for help in finding Fermanagh man James Taggart last week, reporting he was seen recently in the Essex area. The 27-year-old handed himself into a PSNI station yesterday, Monday 26 July.

Former UUP councillor accused of forgery
A former Ulster Unionist councillor has appeared in Armagh Crown Court today, accused of two counts of forgery and false accounting. Raymond Ferguson, 64, and a solicitor from Lakeside Avenue in Enniskillen, denies the charges, which relate to the development of a Fermanagh golf course.

Alleged Stab Death Man Remanded
There was no application for bail as the man accused of the fatal stabbing of another man while at a house party this week in Co Fermanagh appeared in court. Gary Philip Moane, 34, from Lisolvan Park in Brookeborough, County Fermanagh was remanded in custody until 16 August when he will appear via video link at Enniskillen Magistrates court.

Priest found guilty of facilitating child sex offence
A County Fermanagh priest has been found guilty of facilitating a child sex offence against a 12-year-old girl. The jury at Liverpool Crown Court heard Father Jeremiah McGrath, 63, from Rosslea gave more than £20,000 to convicted child rapist William Adams. He then spent the money grooming the girl from Liverpool.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.
