Invest NI Announce Latest Round Of Innovation Vouchers
Invest NI are inviting businesses across Northern Ireland to apply for up to £5,000 of of Innovation Vouchers to improve or create new products or services.
Innovation Vouchers allow businesses to access skills and expertise from one of 39 registered knowledge providers - universities, colleges or technical institutes - throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
It is available to eligible small and medium-sized businesses who need expert support to resolve a business problem and get help to:
• develop ideas for new and improved products, processes and services
• test and validate new or enhanced products and services
• use or experiment with new materials
• tap into research and scientific expertise
The Vouchers are available to small businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, and medium-sized businesses if they have not yet received assistance through Invest Northern Ireland's research and development programme in the past five years.
The aim of the programme is to deliver innovation. Some activities will not qualify for voucher support. For example, you cannot use the voucher for:
• buying equipment
• standard training
• general marketing
• website optimisation
• standard app development
• business plans and economic appraisals

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has launched the new £7m Connected Health Innovation Centre (CHIC) at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown. CHIC is the result of a £6.8m investment by a consortium of leading technology companies and is being supported by a £5m R&D offer from Invest Northern Ireland.
