Man Charged Over Co Antrim Arson Attack

A man has been charged in connection with an arson attack in Larne, Co Antrim.

A car was burnt out and caused significant damage to the front of a house in the Killyglen Road area on Sunday, 23 April.

The 34-year-old suspect has been charged with arson endangering life with intent, making threats to kill, intimidation and wasting police time by making a false report.

He is to appear before Antrim Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 25 April.

Two other men arrested have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Suspected arson attack in County Antrim
Police in County Antrim have appealed for information following a suspected arson attack at the weekend. The incident happened at around 3.45am yesterday morning, when a shed at a property in the Woodside View area of Dunmurry, was set alight. The fire then spread to the house, where the family were asleep inside.

PSNI Appeal For Information After Cars Set Alight In North Belfast
The PSNI have appealed for information after four cars were set alight in north Belfast. Police say the suspected arson attack happened at around 22:30 on Tuesday night on the Whitewell Road. It is understood no one was injured in the incidents.

Assault & Arson Attacks In East Belfast
Police have been tasked to reports of an assault and two arson attacks during a night of crime in east Belfast. A possible link between all three incidents is being explored. The first incident saw reports of a man being assaulted in the Templemore Avenue/Albertbridge Road area at around 9.45pm on Sunday 17 November.

Police Believe Two Arson Attacks In Co Down May Be Linked
Police have launched an investigation following two arson attacks in Kilkeel, Co Down. It is believed a petrol bomb was used to set a car on fire in Newry at around 2.20am on Wednesday, 11 May. Just over an hour later, police received a report that an unoccupied house in Carn Gardens had also been set on fire.
