Body Discovered On Banks Of River Foyle

A body has been discovered on the banks of the River Foyle.

The unidentified body was found on Tuesday, 18 April, the PSNI have confirmed.

A post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death.

No other details have been released.

A woman's body has been recovered from the River Foyle in L'Derry. It was discovered on Thursday afternoon flowing an extensive search by the Foyle Search & Rescue Team, assisted by the Sligo Coastguard. Enquiries are ongoing to identify the body.

Woman's Body Pulled From River Foyle
The body of a woman has been recovered from the River Foyle in L'Derry, emergency services have confirmed. Foyle Search and Rescue were tasked to the scene at around 11pm on Monday 24 February following reports that a person had entered the water. They worked alongside the PSNI, NIFRS, Coastguard and the Irish Coastguard Helicopter.

Man's Body Recovered From River Foyle
The body of a man has been recovered from the River Foyle in L'Derry. It is believed the man entered the water on Sunday night, 08 July. His death is not being treated as suspicious. A PSNI spokesperson said: "I'm sure you will join me and my team in sending your thoughts to the family and friends at this time.

Body Of Sam Comber Recovered From River Foyle
The body of missing man Sam Comber has been recovered from the River Foyle, police have confirmed. Mr Comber, 39, was last seen at a supermarket in L'Derry on Sunday, 14 May. His bicycle was later found in a lay-by in the Newbuildings area. His body was recovered on Saturday, 20 May.

Body Found In River Foyle Is Missing Jack Glenn
A body recovered from the River Foyle in L'Derry is that of Jack Glenn, police have confirmed. The 23-year-old had been missing since 02 February. His father Colin thanked the public for their support. Posting on social media her said: "At last I can confirm we got Jack back.
