Two Teens Charged With Attempted Murder

Two men have been charged with a number of offences including attempted murder after a man was stabbed in the neck.

The assault happened at a hostel on the Malone Road in south Belfast on Saturday, 08 April.

The victim was treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The two 18-year-old suspects are to appear at Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday, 10 April.

All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service (PPS).

Woman Remanded In Custody Over Attempted Murder
A woman has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder after another female was hit with a hammer in Belfast. The victim, aged in her 20s, sustained injuries to her face after being assaulted in the Enfield Parade area on Saturday, 08 April. She was taken to hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Life sentence for man who murdered uncle
A man has been sentenced to life in jail for stabbing his uncle to death despite allegations that he had been the victim of sexual abuse in the past. Thomas Ian McQuade, 32 told Belfast Crown Court that he murdered 59-year-old Joseph McQuade at his home in Comber as an act of revenge because he had been sexually abused by his uncle.

19-Year-Old Charged With Attempted Murder In North Belfast
The PSNI have charged a 19-year-old man with attempted murder in connection with a number of incidents in north Belfast. It is understood the man has been detained following a knife attack at Annesley Street at around 4pm on Sunday 12 December. A number of other incidents followed on Vicinage Park and Cranburn Street.
