Investigation Launched Following Attempted Burglary In Co Down

Police have launched an investigation after two men, armed with hammers, attempted to burgle a house in Ballywalter, Co Down.

The incident happened at a property in Meadow Park shortly before 7.30am on Sunday, 02 April.

The burglars were forced to flee the scene after two occupants inside the house overpowered them.

Detective Constable David Cameron said: "We are interested in hearing from anyone who was in the area this morning or anyone with any information that could assist us. Please call 101 quoting reference 456 02/04/17."

Pair Escape Injury After Arson Attack In Co Tyrone
A man and woman have escaped injury following an arson attack at a property in Co Tyrone. The attack happened at a house in Austin Drive, Tandragee, at around 3.15am on Saturday, 30 July. A petrol bomb was thrown at the front of the house and smoke damage was caused to the kitchen of the property.

Man Escapes Injury Following Shooting Attack In Co Tyrone
A man has escaped injury following a shooting attack at a house in Co Tyrone. Two shots were fired through the living room of the property in Cookstown just before 3am on Tuesday, 17 May. Police are treating the attack as "attempted murder". The PSNI have launched an investigation and are working to establish a motive for the attack.

Cars And House Damaged In Co Armagh Arson Attack
Two cars and a house have been damaged in an arson attack in Co Armagh. The incident happened in the Sandringham area in Craigavon on Wednesday night. A car was set on fire which spread to another car and a house. Significant damage was caused to the two vehicles and the property.

Appeal After Shot Fired At House In Co Tyrone
Police are appealing for witnesses after a shot was fired at a property in Cookstown, Co Tyrone. The attack happened in the Stewart Avenue area at around 11.15pm on Wednesday. The shot was fired through the window of the house. A man in his 50's was in the property at the time, however he was not injured.
