Cancer Focus NI Seeks Nail Technicians

Cancer Focus Northern Ireland is seeking volunteers in the Belfast and Craigavon area to help meet the demand for its growing Nail Bar service, offering nail treatments to people undergoing cancer treatment.

Susan Johnston, lead Nail Bar Volunteer with Cancer Focus NI, said: "It means so much for people to get some time away from their treatment and forget about being in hospital for a while and with your help more patients can enjoy the experience.

"Volunteers are an invaluable part of our service and this role also offers you the opportunity to gain additional experience while supporting people dealing with a cancer diagnosis."

Susan added: "It is so satisfying when patients tell me how much better they feel in themselves and feedback from nursing staff is always excellent. As well as treatments for women, we also offer hand massages and nail care advice to men – everyone deserves some time out and pampering."
