'Path 2 Employment' Job Fair Announced

The 'Path 2 Employment' job fair is to be held in the Banqueting Hall of Belfast City Hall on Thursday, 30 March.

The event has been organised by Workforce Training Services with the Path 2 Employment project, part funded by the council.

Among the 20 companies attending the event will be Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) Belfast Health and Social Trust, Carillion, Convergys Call Centre, BT, Randox, The Ivory Restaurant, Events Sec and JPW Marketing.

People can pop in and speak to the companies and potential employers to find out about the jobs that will be on offer. Light refreshments will also be provided on the day.

Paul Boyle, General Manager of Workforce Training Services, said: "The Path 2 Employment Jobs Fair in City Hall will bring jobseekers and employers together under one roof.

"It's great that a range of large and small employers will be available to answer questions, discuss training and most importantly, offer real employment opportunities. So if you're looking to get on the job ladder or are just looking for a change of career, Belfast City Hall on 30th March is the place for you!"

Councillor Aileen Graham, Chair of Belfast City Council's City Growth and Regeneration Committee, said: "We are delighted to be supporting the 'Path 2 Employment' Jobs Fair at City Hall this week. In developing our Community Plan for the city - the Belfast Agenda, local people informed us one of the most important priorities for the city was access to employment opportunities and jobs.

"This event will offer the opportunity to speak to a range of employers from different sectors about the employment opportunities that will be available and I would encourage as many people as possible to visit."
