Murder Investigation Launched After Man's Body Found In Lurgan

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was found dead at a house in Lurgan.

Paul Gerard Curran's body was found in the Manor Drive area at around 2.50pm on Thursday, 09 March. He was 29-years-old.

A post mortem examination is to be carried out to determine the cause of death.

Two men and a woman, all aged in their 30's, have been arrested and are in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot said: "I would ask anyone in the community who knows anything about the circumstances to contact police and give us this information. Please contact Detectives at Lurgan on 101 quoting reference number 639 of 09/03/17 or alternatively information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Murder Investigation Launched Into Lurgan Body Find
Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August. The body of a 45-year-old man was discovered at a property in the Victoria Street area at around 2.15pm yesterday. Another man, also aged 45, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and he remains in police custody.

The PSNI have appealed to a couple who intervened in a New Years Day assault in Lurgan to contact them. A 42-year-old man remains in a serious condition in hospital after he was attacked by another man, while in a takeaway on Union Street, Lurgan in the early hours of New Years Day.

Fresh Appeal For Information On Shane Whitla Murder
PSNI detectives investigating the murder of 39-year-old Shane Whitla in Lurgan have issued an appeal for information and witnesses. A post-mortem examination confirmed that Mr Whitla died of a gunshot wound to the chest. According to report, he had also suffered a serious puncture wound to his neck.
