Digital Skills Programme Announced
Belfast City Council (BCC) have announced a programme of free digital skills training for those who are keen to use a computer, but don't know where to start.
In partnership with Go On NI, Department of Finance and Business in the Community, BCC are providing the beginners' training at community centres throughout the city during March and April, with a Spring Online event planned for City Hall on 02 May.
Digital Champion, Belfast Lord Mayor Alderman Brian Kingston, said: "We have so much to gain from learning IT skills – we can become more connected on social networks, do business, search for jobs and holidays, and shop online to mention just a few opportunities.
"Our Community centres provide the perfect, welcoming and safe place for you to learn IT skills at your own pace, with plenty of help at hand to keep you right!"
There will also be a range of free themed sessions planned in community centres during March, helping you to shop online, explore old footage of Belfast, learn how to give your device an MOT, use social media, upload and edit photos and more.
The full list of events is available now on the BCC website.
