Man Who Died Following Attack In Newtownards Named
A man who died after being attacked in Newtownards on Sunday, 26 February, has been named as Richard Miskelly, aged 24.
The assault on the Bangor Road was reported shortly after 5.30am and emergency services attended the scene, however he died a short time later.
Two 19-year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of murder and have been detained in police custody.
A post mortem examination is to be carried out to determine the cause of death.
Detective Chief Inspector Justyn Galloway said: "I would appeal to anyone who has any information that they think could help but hasn’t yet contacted us to get in touch with detectives by calling 101 quoting reference number 391 of 26/02/17 or alternatively information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Alliance Strangford candidate Kellie Armstrong said: "I am shocked by this incident, which will send shockwaves throughout the entire community.
"My thoughts and prayers are with this young man's family following his death. To lose a loved one in such terrible circumstances is devastating."

Woman Arrested After Sudden Death Of Man In L'Derry
A woman has been arrested following the sudden death of a man in Magherafelt. A 46-year-old man died in L'Derry in the early hours of Tuesday, 05 December. Police are treating the death as suspicious. A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Two people die in separate road accidents
Two people have died following separate road accidents in Counties Down and Fermanagh on Tuesday. In the first accident a man died following a crash between two cars on the main Belfast to Holywood road shortly after 5.30pm. He died in hospital a short time later.

Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Dundrum, Co Down. A 49-year-old man died at the scene of a three-car collision on the Belfast Road at about 12:20am on Thursday. It is understood that four other people are being treated in hospital following the collision.
