Man And Woman Shot In Coleraine

Police have launched an investigation after a man and woman were shot in Coleraine.

The shooting attack happened at a property in the James Street area at around 7.15pm on Sunday, 20 February.

A masked man entered the house and shot the male in the leg. The woman was shot in the foot.

The victims injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Alliance East L'Derry candidate Chris McCaw said: "For someone to enter a house in Coleraine and shoot two people is shocking. There can be no excuse or justification for this act of violence and I condemn it without reservation.

"I send my best wishes to the man and woman and hope they have a speedy recovery. Anyone with information about this attack should report it to the police or the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111."

Sinn Féin's Caoimhe Archibald condemned the shooting.

She said: "Last night's shooting of a woman and man in James Street was wrong and I condemn it.

"There can be no justification for such actions and whoever is responsible needs be held to account."

Man Shot In County Down

The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. Man Arrested Over Murder Of Colin Horner
A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner in Bangor, Co Down. Mr Horner was fatally shot outside a supermarket in from of his young son on 28 May this year. The suspect has been taken to Musgrave police station to be questioned.

Police Appeal After Man Shot Dead In Bangor
Police are appealing for information following the murder of Colin Horner, who was shot in front of his three-year-old son at Sainbury's car park in Bangor on Sunday, 28 May. The boy was in the car at the time of the attack. It is understood Mr Horner, originally from Co Antrim, has loyalist links.
