Witness Appeal After Bathroom Suites Stolen In Co Down

Police are appealing for witnesses after bathroom suites, toilets, sinks and radiators were stolen from new build homes in Co Down.

The incident happened at the rear of Boulevard Park in Newcastle between 5pm on Tuesday, 24 January, and 8am on Wednesday, 25 January.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "A large quantity of items were taken including three white bathroom suites, three white ensuites, three white toilet and sink sets, nine white radiators and one Vaillant Pro 28 LPG Boiler. This is a substantial amount of items and would have required a vehicle to transport these goods out of the properties.

"Did you see anything suspicious around this time?
"Did you notice any suspicious vehicles in the area?"

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Priest Guilty Of Abusing Three Sisters
A Dublin-based priest has been convicted of sexually abusing three young sisters in Northern Ireland. Fr Eugene Lewis was found guilty by a jury at Omagh Crown Court of 11 counts of indecently assaulting the three sisters between August 1963 and September 1973.

Appeal For Information On Hijacking Incidents In Co Tyrone
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information on a hijacking and a number of attempted hijackings in Magheramason, County Tyrone. Issuing the appeal, Detective Sergeant Connolly said: "We received a report just before 10:55pm on Monday 12 July that the female driver of a white Peugeot had her car hijacked as she drove along Victoria Road.

Possible Link Between Belfast Taser Gun Attacks
Police have said that two attacks in Belfast City Centre in which a taser stun gun was used "may be linked". The first incident occurred in Donegall Square North shortly before 7pm on Saturday evening, 27 April, and saw a man in his sixties assaulted.
