Teenager Approached By Man And Woman In Co Antrim
Police are reminding parents to be vigilant after a 16-year-old girl was approached by a man and woman in the Bushmills area in Co Antrim on Tuesday, 31 January.
The pair tried to encourage the teenager to get into a dark blue saloon car on the Priestland Road at around 1.30pm.
She declined to get into the vehicle and contacted her father.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are reminding parents to be vigilant in regards to their children's security and ensure they are reminded not to accept lifts from strangers."

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man questioned about 1988 murder
A man has been arrested in connection with police inquiries into a murder in 1988. The body of Lily Smyth, 66, was found in her flat at Moveen House in Dunmurry on October 9, 1988. The pensioner had been strangled. A police spokesperson said that a 43-year-old man had been arrested and is being questioned at Antrim Police Station.

A 55-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Northern Ireland 36 years ago. William Palmer, 50, was shot at his home on Milltown Road in 1976. He died three days later in hospital from his injuries. The man was detained on suspicion of murder, possessing a firearm and membership of the IRA.

Detectives investigating the murder of a nine-year-old girl in Co Down nearly 25 years ago have today arrested a man on suspicion of her murder. Jennifer Cardy was discovered dead by two fishermen at McKee's Dam near Hillsborough in 1981 after being snatched as she cycled to a friend's house on 12 August that same year.
