Carl Frampton Defeated By Léo Santa Cruz
Belfast boxer Carl Frampton has been defeated by Léo Santa Cruz in Las Vegas.
The man from Tiger's Bay applauded Santa Cruz as he raised his hand as the winner.
Following the fight, Frampton tweeted: "@leosantacruz2 a great fighter & even better man. We have to do it again. Congratulations champ."
He also said: "He was very clever and he used his reach. I think he deserved it. I'm being honest. I think he deserved it. But it was a very good fight. I think I can perform slightly better. No excuses."
Frampton also called for a third fight in Belfast.

Carl Frampton has beaten Leo Santa Cruz to become the WBA World Featherweight Champion. The win means that Frampton, 29, is the first Northern Irish boxer to hold a world two in two different weight divisions, after moving up to featherweight. He beat Santa Cruz on points to give the 27-year-old Mexican fighter his first defeat.
