Belfast City Council Launches 2017 'Go For It' Programme
Belfast City Council are encouraging people to 'Go For It' and start their own business in 2017.
The Go For It programme offers participants one-to-one tailored guidance, access to workshops, mentoring and legal advice to refine ideas and develop their own business plans.
Having recently met participants from a previous programme, Councillor Aileen Graham, Chair of the City Growth and Regeneration Committee, said: "It is great to see the success achieved by local people who have taken the chance to 'Go for It' and are now enjoying the benefits of being their own boss.
"We have a series of workshops running across the city from now until the middle of March that can help individuals focus on moving their ideas from a pipe dream to reality. I would urge anyone who has thought of setting up their own business to come along and chat with our advisors.
"Don't have regrets and think about what might have been - 'Go for It' now and see exactly what you can achieve when you put your mind to it," added the councillor
The Innovation Factory along with local enterprise agencies is working with the council to provide the workshops in citywide venues including East Belfast Enterprises; North City Business Centre; Ormeau Business Centre; Ortus and Work West.
Information on all our business programmes including 'Go for It' is available here. The Go For It programme is open to anyone.
