Businesses Praised For Participating In Digital Marketing Training Course

The Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey has congratulated local small and micro businesses for taking part in a Digital Marketing Training course at Greenmount College.

Visiting the delegates during the one day workshop, Cllr John Scott observed the digital marketing tools being explored by the delegates in order to assist in the promotion and development of their businesses online.

The course was funded by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and provided hands on practical advice on various digital marketing tools including Canva, Facebook, Mailchimp and Twitter together with a session on the A to Z of public relations.

Lough Neagh Partnership, engaged Chartered Public Relations and Marketing Practitioner Nicola Bothwell to deliver the course.

Eimear Kearney, Marketing Officer, Lough Neagh Partnership, said: "We work with so many micro and small business owners across the Borough who operate tourism businesses which rely more than ever on attracting customers online. We engaged NB Chartered Communications to deliver this intensive digital marketing training course to incorporate real time practical activity which enabled the delegates to take away invaluable hands on learning for growing their business with the aim of ultimately saving them time and expense."

Cllr Scott, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, said: "I'm impressed to see local entrepreneurs attending this course to avail of this digital marketing expertise. It's important for our business owners to keep their knowledge skills updated in order to compete at a global level and I'm glad that we can provide them with skills and knowledge on their doorstep."
