Teenager beaten in paramilitary-style attack
Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was beaten in a paramilitary-style attack in Londonderry last night.
The 18-year-old man suffered injuries to his arms, legs and stomach after being beaten with a nail-studded baseball bat.
The incident occurred outside a community centre in the Ballymagowan area of the city, on Wednesday night.
He was taken to hospital however his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Pair found guilty over Father's Day killing
The wife of County Armagh man Paul Crymble, who was killed almost three years ago, and her lover, have been found guilty of his murder. Jacqueline Crymble, 35 and Roger Ferguson, aged 21, were found guilty of killing the 35-year-old from Richill.

Nurse Severely Beaten By Deranged Patient
It has just been revealed that a Londonderry nurse has been treated in hospital after receiving a severe beating at the hands of a patient she was caring for. The incident, which happened earlier this month, began at Strand Road police station in Derry. Police officers detained a man in an agitated state.

Two Women Jailed For Manslaughter Of Daniel Guyler
Two women have been sentenced to a total of 16 and half years for the manslaughter of 75-year-old L'Derry man Daniel Guyler. Rhona Mary Gracey (36) and Sharon Mary Faustina Harland (47), having previously pleaded guilty to the pensioner's manslaughter, were today, Monday, 3rd April, sentenced at Belfast Crown Court.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In North Belfast
Police have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in north Belfast. A man is being treated in hospital after he was reportedly beaten by a number of men at a house on meadow Grove. According to police a number of masked me forced their way into the property and proceeded to beat the victim with suspected metal bars.

Freezer victim 'died of head injuries'
The post mortem examination of a man who was found in a refrigeration unit in Galway has revealed he has died of severe head injuries. He had also been badly beaten up and his hands were tied behind his back. It is also understood the man, Patrick McCormack, 52, had been missing for five years and was last seen in Dublin in June 2002.
