Council Urges Public To Vote For St George's Market

St George's Market is in the running to be named the best market in the UK, with Belfast City Council urging people to give it their vote.

The Market is included in the National Association of British Market Authorities (NABMA) annual 'Britain's Favourite Market' award, and voting is open now.

Votes are cast by members of the public, by going to nabma.com/britainsfavouritemarket, entering 'St George's Market' in the box and clicking 'Send'.

Closing date for entries is Tuesday 10 January.

St George's won the 'Best Large Indoor Market' title at the NABMA awards in 2014, and was voted 'Best Market' at the Observer Food Monthly Awards just this past October.

St George's Market is operating extended opening hours this week: 11am – 6pm Monday through Thursday, 6am – 3pm on Friday and 8am – 2pm on Saturday.

Shoppers also will have the chance to win a special Christmas hamper each day.
