Mark Allen Knocked Out Of Scottish Open

Co Antrim man Mark Allen has been knocked out of snooker's Scottish Open.

Ronnie O'Sullivan defeated Allen 4-2 in his last 16 match on Thursday night, 15 December.

'The Rocket', who beat Jimmy White earlier in the day, raced into a 2-0 lead against Allen.

Allen took the third frame with a break of 74, however O'Sullivan claimed the fourth frame and went on to win the match.

Call For UK Govt To Intervene Over Bombardier Tax Ruling
Unite the union is calling on the Government to intervene after the US chose to impose a tax on the C-Series made by Bombardier which could put thousands of jobs in Belfast in jeopardy. Over 4,000 people are employed by the Canadian firm in Northern Ireland. Prime Minister Theresa May said she is "bitterly disappointed" by the decision.
