Social Media Marketing Workshop Announced
Belfast City Council has announced a free social media marketing workshop for independent retailers.
The event is aimed at retailers who want to learn more about how social media can help them build and grow their business. To qualify businesses should be independent retailers with 20 employees or less and be located in the Belfast City Council area.
A basic knowledge of the main social media platforms - Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pintrest – is benefit attendees but is not essential.
The workshop will cover:
• social media plans - how to make your online presence compliment your day to day business
• overview of social media channels - how each one works
• efficiency - what works best for you
• creative content - how to encourage interaction on your platforms
• target audience - how to reach them (free and paid posts)
• best practice - evidence of good and bad social media usage and how to deal with negative comments
• jargon - hashtags, trending topics, understanding your impact
The event will take place on 31 January, 2017, at Belfast City Hall, and is free to attend. Online registration is open now.
