Man Arrested Over Death Of Austin Hunter
A man has been arrested in Bahrain in connection with the death of former BBC journalist Austin Hunter.
Mr Hunter, aged 64 from Co Tyrone, was knocked down and killed in a road traffic accident in the Middle East last weekend.
He was working as a media consultant for the Northern Ireland Co-operation Overseas (NI-CO).
West Belfast MLA Alex Attwood said: "This is truly terrible news. Austin Hunter was a very well regarded and highly engaging figure in the world of journalism for decades.
"The SDLP wishes to send condolences to his family and to his journalism colleagues among whom he was valued."

A security alert in L'Derry is continuing after police found a weapon near the City Cemetery. A suspicious object was discovered at the cemetery in the Lone Moor Road area on Wednesday afternoon. Police have sealed off the area and are continuing to search the scene.

Derry off-licences hit by underage booze sting
Children as young as 14 have been sold alcohol in off-licenses across Londonderry, police have revealed. During an uncover operation undertaken by police, teenagers aged between 14 and 16 years were accompanied by plain-clothed police officers as they attempted to purchase alcohol at eight off-licence premises across the city.

A 34-year-old man has been jailed for a minimum term of 13 years for the "appalling murder" of baby Hunter McGleenon. Sharyar Ali appeared before Newry Crown Court on Thursday 27 October, where he was sentenced to life in prison, serving a minimum of 13 years, having previously pleaded guilty to murder.
