Car Seized After Skidding Up To Police Check Point

A car has been seized after it skidded up to a police check point in Belfast.

The careless driver also had no insurance or no driving licence.

Police also found a small amount of cannabis in the vehicle.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "In addition to having their car seized the driver will also find themselves in court for the offences highlighted."

The drugs were discovered during a vehicle stop and search in Moira on Thursday, 19 September. Detectives have charged the 49-year-old man with possession and possession with intent to supply a Class B controlled drug.

Man Charged With Drugs Offences In Co Antrim
A man has been charged with drugs offences in Co Antrim. The 42-year-old man was charged after police seized £30,000 of suspected herbal cannabis in the Ballymoney area. He was arrested on the Frosses Road on Monday. He has been charged with possession of a class B controlled drug and possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply.

A man has been arrested after police seized cocaine worth £30,000 in Newry. The 29-year-old suspect has been charged with a number of drugs offences. He is accused of possession of a Class A drug, possession with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property. He is to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 08 November.

Colin Horner Murder: Man Arrested
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his young son in a supermarket car park on Sunday, 28 May. The man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Friday, 16 June. He has been taken to Musgrave Police station for questioning.
