Man 'Badly Shaken' After Robbery In Banbridge

A man in his 70s has been left very badly shaken after two men, one armed with a suspected gun, tied him up and robbed his house in Rathfriland, Banbridge.

The burglary happened at a house in the Banbridge Road area between 7am and 8am on Tuesday, 29 November.

The two men tied his feet with a belt and made off with a sum of money.

One man is described as being in his 20s or 30s, 5ft 2inches tall, of light build and was wearing dark clothing and a balaclava.

The second suspect was aged in his 30s, around 6ft tall, of large build and was also wearing dark clothing.

The victim was not injured, however he was left badly shaken.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Shots Fired In North Belfast
Police have confirmed they are looking into a report that shots were fired in north Belfast on Tuesday night. It is thought a delivery driver heard a number of shots being fired in the Carlisle Road area at around 10pm. The man, said to be in his 30s, was not injured, but has been left badly shaken by the incident.

Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Banbridge, County Down. A 19-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash involving a lorry at Foxleigh Fields. The PSNI are investigating the circumstances of the collision and have issued an appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
