Six Men Arrested Over Paramilitary Style Shootings Released

Six men arrested in connection with paramilitary style shootings in west Belfast have been released unconditionally.

The men, aged between 29 and 50, were detained by police on Monday, 28 November, following a number of searches.

They were released unconditionally on Tuesday, 30 November.

Two Men Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder Released
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of George Gilmore have been released unconditionally. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The two suspects were detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 29 March.

Two Arrested In Connection With Dissident Republican Activity Released
Two men arrested in connection with dissident republican activity have been released. The pair, aged 31 and 22, were arrested in Co L'Derry on Thursday, 31 March. They were questioned at a police station in Belfast. The pair were released unconditionally.

Man Charged In Possession Of Heroin
A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.

Bangor Shooting Suspect 'Released Unconditionally'
A man arrested in connection with a double shooting in Bangor, Co Down, earlier this month has been "released unconditionally". The 41-year-old had been held on suspicion of the attempted murder of two men, a 24 and 33-year-old, as they sat in a car at about 01:00 on Monday 10 February at East Way in the Whitehill estate.

John Boreland Murder: Man Released Unconditionally
A 39-year-old man has been released unconditionally over the murder of prominent loyalist John Boreland. The man was arrested on Monday. Mr Boreland, 46, was shot in north Belfast on 07 August. Three men have appeared in court charged with perverting the course of justice. They are to appear in court via video link on 13 October.
