FIFA Begin Disciplinary Proceedings Against IFA
FIFA has launched disciplinary proceedings against the Irish Footballl Association (IFA) after fans displayed a poppy mosaic during an international game with Azerbaijan.
Players wore black armbands during the game and the English and Scottish Football Associations are also under investigation after wearing armbands featuring a poppy at Wembley.
A FIFA spokesperson said: "The Disciplinary Committee decided to open proceedings against the Irish Football Association and the Football Association of Wales in relation to several incidents involving the display of poppy symbols reported after the matches Northern Ireland-Azerbaijan and Wales-Serbia respectively."
In a statement the IFA said: "The Irish Football Association will robustly defend the disciplinary charges that have been levelled against it by FIFA regarding acts of remembrance at the World Cup qualifying match between Northern Ireland and Azerbaijan on 11th November."

Jim Boyce To Be FIFA Vice President
It has emerged that Sepp Blatter will most likely kick off a fourth term heading the international soccer ruling body, FIFA. Despite allegations of corruption, and two UK football bodies calling for the presidential election to be postponed, the current President Sepp Blatter remained the only one in the running for the 1 June election.
